  2. Timing Matters: Avoid setting the time between 9 PM and 3 AM to protect the date mechanism.
  3. Unscrew the Crown (if needed): If your watch has a screw-down crown, firmly turn it counterclockwise until it pops out.

Setting NH34, NH35, and NH36 Movements

These robust movements are the backbone of your timepiece. The NH34 is a GMT movement, while the NH35 and NH36 offer date and day-date features.

Steps to Set the Time:

  1. Pull the Crown to the Right Position:

    • Normal Position: Wind the movement.
    • 1st Position: Set the date (and day for NH36).
    • 2nd Position: Adjust the time.

  2. Set the Time:

    • Pull the crown to the 2nd position.
    • Rotate the crown to move the hour and minute hands.
    • Ensure the AM/PM cycle is correct to align the date change properly.

  3. Set the Date (and Day):

    • Push the crown to the 1st position.
    • Turn the crown to adjust the date. For NH36, rotate the crown the other way to set the day.

  4. Secure the Crown:

    • Push the crown all the way in and screw it down securely.


Setting the VK63 Movement

The VK63 is a hybrid meca-quartz movement that combines quartz precision with the feel of a mechanical chronograph.

Steps to Set the Time:

  1. Pull the Crown to the Right Position:

    • 1st Position: Adjust the date.
    • 2nd Position: Set the time.

  2. Set the Time:

    • Pull the crown to the 2nd position.
    • Rotate the crown to set the hour and minute hands.

  3. Set the Date:

    • Push the crown to the 1st position.
    • Turn the crown to adjust the date.

  4. How to Use the Pushers:

    • Top Pusher (2 o’clock): Starts and stops the chronograph timer.

    • Bottom Pusher (4 o’clock): Resets the chronograph hands to zero.

    • To reset misaligned chronograph hands, pull the crown to the 2nd position and use the pushers to align them.

  5. Secure the Crown:

    • Push the crown back in and screw it down securely if needed.
